Trafic audio system dead

I'm having a bizarre sound issue with my 2013 Renault Trafic diesel. The whole audio system is dead! No sound whatsoever. I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Could a dodgy speaker really kill the entire system?

That's a weird one! I had a similar problem with my old Peugeot 308. Radio was dead. Have you tried testing the auxiliary input or any other audio connectivity options to rule out a broader system failure? Maybe even wiggle the volume control?

Good shout! I did try the aux input, but still nothing. Is it possible one blown speaker could shut down everything? It's like a Christmas tree bulb situation?

It's unlikely that one speaker would completely kill the whole system, but sound distortion can sometimes happen when a speaker is failing. Still, given that you've got absolutely no audio, it points to a bigger issue. Could be a bad head unit or a wiring fault. Might be worth getting it checked out by a pro.
