Trafic Automatic Transmission Fault

I've got a 2022 Renault Trafic diesel that's giving me grief. It's done 185312 km. The automatic transmission seems to be stuck in park. The engine won't start, the check engine light is on, and the gearbox feels like it's slipping when I try to shift. I scanned it and there's an error code related to the transmission. Could this be a faulty control unit? Anyone else experienced anything similar with shift lock or the transmission sensor?

Sounds familiar! I had similar transmission issues with my Trafic. Was it also slipping between gears and throwing up errors? Did you check the gear linkage or the transmission sensor?

Slipping between gears, yes! Error stored in the error memory as well. I haven't checked the gear linkage specifically, but I suspected the transmission sensor might be involved. Was it the control unit for you then?

Yep, control unit. All the same symptoms. Honestly, save yourself the headache and take it to a workshop. They'll be able to diagnose it properly and replace the unit. Cost me about 1000€.
