Trafic Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Fault

My 2006 Renault Trafic diesel (94544 km) has a brake booster pressure sensor fault and spongy brakes. Error message on the speedometer, braking performance is poor. I suspect improper bleeding during a recent service. Anyone seen similar ABS issues with this Trafic generation? Any advice on the pressure sensor or parts?

Woah, sounds like a mess! Brake issues are never fun. Did the brake problem start immediately after the service you mentioned? Could be something simple knocked loose during the work.

Yes, the error and braking issue appeared shortly after the brake service. When you say 'something simple knocked loose,' what specific components or connections within the hydraulic brakes or ABS should I check beyond visual checks?

Okay, so yeah, pretty sure it's connected to that brake bleed. I'd bet money the workshop screwed it up. It's probably air in the system messing with the pressure sensor readings. Honestly, for something that safety-critical, just take it back to them or a different garage and get it sorted properly.

Your assessment was right! The workshop admitted a mistake during bleeding. A re-bleed and sensor replacement (90€ total) fixed it. The error is gone, and braking is back to normal. Thanks for the quick and helpful advice!
