Cheers for the quick reply! Where exactly should I be looking for these connections? Any specific areas that are known to be problematic, or a specific order I should check things in? And yeah, the air filter is brand new, changed it last service.

Honestly, it’s a bit of a faff to pinpoint. Just visually inspect all the connectors you can find around the injection system. Give them a wiggle and see if anything changes. But realistically, with those symptoms, a workshop diagnosis is probably worth the money. Could save you hours. I ended up doing that, and they found it quick.

Took your advice and went to a workshop. You were spot on! It was a dodgy plug connection on one of the injectors. They cleaned it up and re-seated it. Cost me 95€, but it's running like a dream again! Power's back, no smoke, and idles fine. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hey, I had something similar on my Trafic (not sure of the year right now). Those symptoms sound familiar. Check the cable and plug connections of the injection components. It could be a loose or corroded connector. That was my issue, anyway. Is the air filter clean?
