Trafic electronic parking brake fault

Electronic parking brake malfunction on my 2013 Renault Trafic gasoline. Handbrake is non-functional, error stored, warning light on. Mileage is 71796 km. Anyone seen this? Could it be the brake switch?

I had something similar on my Trafic. Error codes all over, EPB wouldn't engage or disengage. Have you checked the brake callipers? Mine was the electric motor on the calliper.

You mentioned the electric motor on the calliper. How did you diagnose that?

Started with the basics - fuses and wiring. Then took it to a workshop. They ran a diagnostic and pinpointed the motor. Apparently, it's a common fault. Estimate was around 500€. I'd advise the same; these electronic systems can be tricky without the right tools.
