Trafic Incorrect Fuel Composition Error

I had something similar with my Trafic. Same symptoms, same error. Was your fuel particularly low when it happened? Did you have an engine knock when accelerating?

The tank was indeed quite empty. No unusual engine sounds from what i remember. What was the solution, if I may ask?

Low fuel level can sometimes cause this issue, especially if there's sediment in the tank. But since you had no engine knock, it is unlikely to be fuel contamination. I'd still suggest getting it checked by a workshop, better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the advice. It was indeed a defective plug in the fuel system. Repair came out to 95€. I'll keep the tank fuller from now on.
