How did you confirm the intake manifold gasket leak in your Trafic? What diagnostic procedures or observations led you to that conclusion? Were your symptoms intermittent or consistent?

After scratching my head, I took it to a trusted mechanic. They used a smoke test to find the leak. My symptoms were pretty constant, especially the rough idle. Honestly, with all those symptoms and the mileage, it's probably best to get it checked out by a professional. Could save you a headache.

Based on your experience, I will schedule an appointment with a qualified workshop. It was indeed the intake manifold. Repairing cost me 1180€.

Sounds like a pain! I had something similar with my Renault Trafic. Check engine light flashing. For me, it was the intake manifold gasket leaking. The engine just can't breathe properly. Have you checked the manifold pressure readings? If they're all over the place, that could be a sign.
