Thanks for the reply. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Any other thoughts?

Dang, that's what I was hoping it would be! When the fuses were ok on my Astra, I just took it to a workshop. They said the heater element was the problem. Cost me a fortune for a new mirror! If you're getting an error code I'd suggest a shop visit. It's a safety thing, especially in cold weather.

Thanks for the advice. I had a look at the plug on the mirror itself and the cable was damaged as suspected. New cable and plug - total cost 95€. All sorted now!

Oh man, that sucks! I had the exact same problem with my old Opel Astra, although that was a 2016 diesel. Cold mirrors in winter are the worst. Did you check the fuses? I'd start there, even though you said error memory...
