Trafic poor engine running cold starts

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2019 Renault Trafic diesel. Mileage is at 211810 km. I'm noticing poor engine running during cold starts, an error stored in the error memory, and increased fuel consumption. Suspect a defective electric auxiliary heater. Any insights?

Interesting. I had similar symptoms on my 2016 Opel Vivaro. Heat not working properly, especially in the initial phase. Have you checked the PTC heater element itself? In my case, it was faulty, leading to inefficient heating and the engine compensating by burning more fuel. Could be the same for you.

Thank you for the insight. When you say "PTC heater element", are you referring to the electric auxiliary heater? I'm trying to clarify the component you're describing.

Affirmative. By PTC heater element, I mean the electric auxiliary heater. Given the symptoms and error codes, it's highly probable that it's the culprit. I would advise visiting a workshop to make sure. My repair costed around 300€, although the heater was from another brand.

Understood. I will have the electric auxiliary heater checked by a professional. Many thanks for the clarification and sharing your experience.
