Trafic rough running

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2005 Renault Trafic (gasoline engine). The check engine light is on, and the engine runs really rough, especially at idle where it sometimes stalls. Also, the van jerks quite a bit when I try to accelerate. I've checked the fuel cap, but that's about it. Could it be the fuel pump?

Thanks for the reply. I haven't really paid close attention to the fuel economy, to be honest. As for smells, nothing out of the ordinary that I've noticed. Where exactly is the fuel pressure sensor located? Is it something I could check myself, like a loose wire or something?

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Took it to a local garage, and you were spot on - it was the fuel pressure sensor. Apparently, a wire was loose. They replaced the sensor and fixed the connection. Total cost was 95€. Runs like a charm now!
