Summary of the thread
A 2001 Hyundai Trajet diesel engine was experiencing rough running and a check engine light, with an error related to 'reset quantity drift compensation,' suspected to be linked to fuel injection. Thanks for the quick reply! Fuel economy seems normal. How did you pinpoint the injector on your Astra? Was there a reset procedure involved after fixing it, or was it just replacement?

Well, in my case, after checking all the usual suspects (fuel filter, etc.), my mechanic ran some diagnostics that isolated the problematic injector. He said the values were way off. Yes, after replacing the injector, the system needed a reset to clear the error and properly compensate for the new injector. I think you should visit a workshop for the diagnosis.

Okay, thank you for sharing your experience! I appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were right - it was indeed a defective injector, costing 515€ to fix. They replaced it and performed the system reset. Now it runs smoothly again!

Hello! That sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, though the symptoms were slightly different. I kept getting a check engine light and it turned out to be a defective injector. The error code also pointed to fuel delivery issues, although not the same wording. You might want to investigate the injectors. Have you noticed any change in your fuel economy?
