Transit Headlight Washer Windshield Issue

I'm encountering a strange issue with my 2022 Ford Transit electric, which currently has 96427 km on the clock. The headlight cleaning system seems to have malfunctioned, and, rather strangely, the windshield washer no longer works either. I've checked the fuses, and they appear to be fine. I suspect a defective cable connection at the pump or a faulty relay. Has anyone experienced something similar?

That's odd. I had a similar problem with my old Audi A4, although that wasn't an EV. The symptoms were identical: headlight washers packed in, and the windshield washers went on strike too. In my case, it turned out to be a cracked hose that led to the pump. Is there any sign of a leak?

Thanks for the insight. I haven't noticed any visible leaks, but it's difficult to tell for sure with the undertray in place. If it was the hose, wouldn't that result in the pump running dry and making a noise? I'm not hearing anything unusual, which is why I was leaning towards an electrical issue.

You're right, a dry pump usually makes a racket. On the Audi, the leak was small enough that the pump didn't run dry immediately, but it lost pressure over time. Given you've checked the fuses, and you suspect a defective cable or relay, it might be worth getting it checked by a workshop. They'll have the proper diagnostic tools to pinpoint the fault. Could be a dodgy Xenon control module, too.

Thanks; I appreciate the advice and the past experience you shared. I booked it into the workshop, and you were spot on. It turned out to be a defective cable connection on the pump, as I originally suspected. Repair cost was 165€, all in. Much appreciated!
