Transit Rich Running Issue

Thanks for the info. I haven't checked the air-fuel ratio specifically, only scanned for codes and got a 'rich mixture' indication. When your Astra had that, was it also the injectors, or did you find a different cause?

On the Astra, it ended up being a combination of things, but a faulty injector was definitely a major part of it. I replaced it myself with aftermarket parts which I do NOT recommend, it only lasted for a month. You're probably best off taking it to a workshop to get it sorted. A defective catalytic converter could also be the culprit, do you happen to smell sulfur when the engine is running?

Thanks for the advice! I took it to my mechanic, and you were right, it was the fuel injectors. They replaced all of them as well as some gaskets to fix it properly. Total bill came to 515€. Runs like new now!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my old 2008 Opel Astra: check engine light, rough idle, the works. It also turned out that the mixture was running too rich. Have you checked the air-fuel ratio? Could be more than just the injector. Any other codes besides the rich mixture?
