Transit start stop issue

Hi, I'm having a problem with my 2010 Ford Transit gasoline. The start-stop system has stopped working. The error memory has a fault stored, and the engine shuts off, triggering a warning light in the speedometer. My Transit has 150733 km on it. I suspect it might be a battery issue. Anyone had similar problems?

I had a similar issue with my Transit. Is the battery heavily discharged or defective? That was the cause for me.

Thanks for the quick reply. How did you confirm it was the battery? Did you notice any other electrical issues?

I didn't confirm it myself. The garage diagnosed it pretty quickly. Given the symptoms you described, a discharged or defective battery is the most likely culprit. I would suggest visiting a workshop. It cost me around 290€ to get it fixed.

Thanks for the info. I had the battery checked, and you were spot on. It was indeed the battery. Replaced it, and the start-stop system is now working as it should. The repair set me back 290€. Appreciate the help!
