Traveller ABS and Steering Issues

That's a fair point about a slow leak; I hadn't considered that specifically. But wouldn't a slow leak just trigger the low tire pressure warning? Why would it affect the ABS and power steering? Is there some sort of interconnected system that I'm not aware of? Or could a faulty tire pressure sensor cause all of these problems?

It's difficult to say definitively without a proper inspection, but a defective valve in the tire could potentially cause all those problems. It can definitely trigger the low tire pressure warning, and if the sensor is malfunctioning due to the valve issue, it could send incorrect signals to the ABS and power steering systems, causing them to behave erratically. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked before something worse happens. That seems like the best move.

Thank you so much for your insight! I took it to my local shop, and you were spot on! Turns out, a valve in one of the tires was defective, causing a slow leak and messing with the sensors. The repair set me back about 280€, but everything is working fine again. I really appreciate you taking the time to help!

That's quite a combination of issues! You say the tire pressures are fine according to your gauge, but have you checked all the tires, including the spare, if you have one? Are you losing pressure over time, even if it's slow? A small puncture or a faulty valve could cause a gradual leak that your gauge might not immediately pick up. Is it possible there's a tiny nail or something embedded in the tire?
