Thanks for the quick reply! I'll check the belt and battery voltage as you suggested. If those seem okay, does it still point to the generator itself being the likely culprit? I want to be sure before I start throwing parts at it.

If the belt's fine and the battery is holding a charge, and you're still seeing those symptoms, plus the error code, yeah, it really does sound like the generator is failing. I wouldn’t mess with it too much further yourself. Honestly, at that mileage, things do wear out. Best bet is to get it checked out by a professional to confirm. They can properly diagnose the issue and replace the generator if needed.

Appreciate the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out the generator was indeed defective. The repair cost me 960€. Thanks again for your help!

Wow, that sounds frustrating! Reduced power and flickering lights are definitely worrying. Could be a few things affecting your charging system. When you try to start, does it sound like the starter motor is struggling? Maybe also take a look at your serpentine belt to make sure it's not cracked or loose, as that can affect the generator's performance. Have you checked the battery voltage? A low battery can cause all sorts of weird issues.
