Traveller Electric Bumper Antenna Issue

A defective cable or plug connection for the bumper antenna component is the most probable cause of such a confluence of symptoms, especially given the error memory indication. Has there been any recent work around the bumper area, or any incidents that might have stressed the antenna mount? This sort of interference can manifest unexpectedly.

No work on the bumper recently, but I did drive through some seriously heavy rain last week. Could water ingress mess with the antenna that badly?

Indeed, ingress is quite plausible, especially if any existing seals or connections were already compromised. Given the electronic interconnectedness of modern vehicles, issues with the antenna can cascade into seemingly unrelated systems.
