Traveller Electric Bumper Antenna Issue

Blast it! My 2023 Peugeot Traveller (electric) is throwing tantrums. Error stored in the memory, unlocking's gone bonkers, and it refuses to start without the key physically shoved in the ignition – at almost 70k km! Think it's the bumper antenna?

A defective cable or plug connection for the bumper antenna component is the most probable cause of such a confluence of symptoms, especially given the error memory indication. Has there been any recent work around the bumper area, or any incidents that might have stressed the antenna mount? This sort of interference can manifest unexpectedly.

No work on the bumper recently, but I did drive through some seriously heavy rain last week. Could water ingress mess with the antenna that badly?

Indeed, ingress is quite plausible, especially if any existing seals or connections were already compromised. Given the electronic interconnectedness of modern vehicles, issues with the antenna can cascade into seemingly unrelated systems. I would certainly advise a professional diagnosis at a qualified workshop to confirm the defect before it creates an even bigger issue!

Thanks. Just got back from the shop. You nailed it – corroded antenna connection thanks to water. 95€ later, all systems are go!
