Traveller Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor Issue

Grinding is most apparent during the shift from 2nd to 3rd, and sometimes when downshifting. No obvious oil leaks. Could the sensor be faulty, giving bad readings even with enough oil?

A faulty sensor is possible, but less likely than low oil. Grinding during certain gear changes supports the oil theory. Have the transmission oil level checked professionally before replacing the sensor. Rule out the simple things first. A workshop can inspect the oil level, check for leaks, and inspect the oil quality.

I took it to a workshop. Gearbox oil was low. Topped it up, cleared the codes, and the issue is resolved. Grinding is gone, and it shifts smoothly. Total cost was 365€. Thanks for the advice.

Low oil can cause pressure fluctuations and trigger the sensor. Plausible, but hard to say without a diagnostic check. Is the grinding constant, or only during specific gear changes? Any oil leaks under the vehicle?
