Trax Anti-Theft Alarm Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Trax owner reported a malfunction with the anti-theft alarm system, which was not functioning and showed an error in the memory. The issue was identified as a potential software glitch related to the system's optical locking feature, which attempts to flash the indicators when alarming. The suggested solution was to have the system reset at a workshop, which successfully resolved the problem.

Optical locking... indicators... can you explain what I should look for or check?

Yeah, mine was trying to flash the lights even when it wasn't supposed to be alarming. Seems like a weird software glitch. Honestly, just take it to a workshop. It's probably faster than messing with it yourself.

Thank you for the advice. The alarm system was indeed coded to activate optical locking. A reset at the workshop fixed it. Repair cost was 45€. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Trax. Is the alarm coded to activate optical locking? Like, does it try to flash the indicators when it should be alarming?
