Trax oil temperature warning light
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Chevrolet Trax diesel with 89,568 km displayed an engine oil temperature warning light and an intermittent oil pressure light. The error code indicated an issue with the engine oil temperature sensor, leading to suspicion of a defective cable or plug connection. I have not checked the sensor's resistance. What's the expected resistance range, or what should I pay attention to during the diagnostic process?

Unfortunately, I don't have the specific resistance values on hand. I'd suggest obtaining the official repair manual. Given the oil pressure warning light also flickers, and you're not experienced, I'd recommend a workshop visit. Could be more than just the sensor.

I took it to the workshop and it turned out to be a defective plug connection, exactly as suspected. The final repair cost was 95€. The warning light is now gone.

I had something similar on my Trax. The oil temp sensor can be finicky. Did you check the sensor's resistance? Might be out of spec and triggering the light.
