Trax System Readiness Check Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Trax diesel experienced issues with the system readiness check, preventing it from passing an emissions test. The problem began after an OBD2 diagnostic, possibly due to a voltage drop during the readout. A certified workshop identified the issue as a software glitch caused by the OBD2 readout and resolved it by resetting the parameters, which cleared the error without any cost.

The error doesn't clear. The battery wasn't disconnected, but there might have been a voltage drop during the OBD2 readout. Could that cause this?

Voltage drops can mess with the onboard diagnostics. They might just need a reset, but since it's persistent, get it checked at a workshop before the inspection.

I took the Trax to a certified workshop. They said the system readiness check problem was a software glitch from the OBD2 readout. They reset the parameters, and now the system readiness check is fine. The error memory is empty, and it didn't cost anything.

I had something similar happen on my Trax. Does the error clear after driving, or is it constant? Did you disconnect the battery before the OBD2 scan?
