Troubleshooting Persistent Low Tire Pressure Warning on 2016 Dacia Duster with Gasoline Engine
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Dacia Duster is experiencing a persistent low tire pressure warning despite the tires appearing fine. This issue may be due to a problem with the tire pressure sensor, potentially caused by a depleted sensor battery. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the sensor battery, costing around 280 Euro. It is recommended to have the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) diagnosed at a workshop to confirm the cause and prevent potential damage from driving with low tire pressure.

Hey there, Thanks for sharing your experience, I really appreciate it! My Duster has about 144360 KM on the clock. As for prior sensor issues, nada, this is the first time something like this has happened. Might be a similar issue as yours then - I'll take it to a workshop to get it checked. Fingers crossed it's just a battery issue and not too heavy on the pocket. Thanks again for your help really means a lot! Cheers!

Hey! No problem at all, glad my experience could give you some direction! Given your car's mileage and the fact that you haven't had any previous sensor issues, definitely starts to look like a sensor battery problem. When you go to the workshop, just tell them to make a diagnosis of your Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). That should clarify the issue. Remember, better to sort this out sooner than later - to avoid any potential damage to your car's other parts from driving on low tire pressure for an extended period, even if the signal is false. I hope it's just that battery, won't break your bank then! Fingers crossed for you do keep us updated on the outcome. Cheers!

Hey! Cheers really appreciate the guidance! I'll make sure to mention the TPMS diagnosis to the workshop. Yeah, you're right, don't wanna risk damaging anything else - I'll get it sorted ASAP. Fingers crossed the diagnosis doesn't hit too hard on my wallet. Will definitely keep you updated on what happens. Appreciate your support. Ta!

Hey! I got some experience under my belt with cars, mostly DIY stuff, nothing too fancy. Anyway, encountered a similar problem with my 2014 Dacia Sandero. Turns out, the issue was a sensor battery running on empty. To fix it, I took my car to the local workshop. They diagnosed it, and yep, was an empty sensor battery. It set me back about 280 Euro to get it sorted, but since then, no more pesky warnings popping up. Could be your Duster is having the same issue. Though to verify this, need more details, like mileage, any prior sensor issues. Hope this helps some!
