Tucson Hybrid Automatic Temperature Control Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid experienced an automatic temperature control issue, with an error indicating a defective cable or plug connection, preventing the A/C from engaging. A suggestion was made to check the interior temperature sensor, which is typically located near the steering column, as a potential cause. Ultimately, a workshop confirmed a defective cable connection on the interior temperature sensor, resolving the issue.

Thanks. Where is the interior temperature sensor located, and how do I check its connection? I don't have schematics.

It's usually near the steering column. Diagnostics are difficult without the proper tools. Given the error and lack of A/C, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to prevent further issues; in my case that was indeed the solution.

Appreciate the advice. The workshop found a defective cable connection on the interior temperature sensor. The repair cost 95€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had similar HVAC sensor issues with my Tucson. Check the interior temperature sensor; could be a faulty connection. Is the temperature reading way off?
