Tundra Hybrid Camshaft Sensor Issue

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2021 Toyota Tundra hybrid (168444 km). It's starting poorly and has reduced power. Plus, there's an error logged. Could this be timing-related, like a crankshaft or camshaft sensor issue? I've checked basic stuff, but I'm stuck.

I had a similar problem with my Tundra. Given the symptoms and the error code, a defective camshaft sensor is plausible. Check the cable and plug connection. But, there could be other factors. Any rough idling or check engine light?

Thanks! Yeah, rough idling happens sometimes, and the check engine light is on. Since you had something similar, what steps did you take to figure it out? Also, do you remember how much the repair cost? Just trying to get an idea.

Sounds like what I experienced. Hard to say exactly without a proper diagnostic, but the camshaft sensor is likely. Given the limited details, I'd take it to a trusted shop for a thorough inspection. Driving it like this could cause more damage.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a good mechanic, and you were right – the cable connection to the camshaft sensor was bad. Cost me about 95€. Your help was invaluable!
