Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'similar heating issue', was it also the rear window specifically, and the windscreen acting up a bit too? Did you also have some errors stored or did you notice it before? Battery test is on the todo list for tomorrow...

Yep, it was exactly the same symptoms: rear window not defrosting and the windscreen taking longer than usual. I didn't notice any error messages, but honestly, I wasn't really looking for them at that point. I'd definitely get that battery checked, but if it's not that, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. Rear window heating coil problems can be a pain to diagnose without the proper tools.

Battery was indeed the issue. Had it replaced and that fixed the window. Final repair cost came to 290€. Appreciate the input; saved me a bunch of time chasing ghosts!

I had a similar heating issue with my Tundra, although I can't quite remember the year, but it sounds incredibly familiar. Have you had the battery tested recently? A weak battery can cause all sorts of gremlins in these newer trucks with all the electronics. Also, check the connections to the rear window heating element itself. Sometimes those can corrode or come loose. Good luck!
