Tundra Solar Sensor Fault

Hey, I've got a weird issue with my 2014 Toyota Tundra. It's got a gasoline engine and just under 100k km on the clock. The error memory is showing a solar sensor fault and the heating output seems way too low. I'm thinking the cable or plug connection might be defective. Anyone else run into this?

I had something similar with my Tundra. Heating was weak and there was a sensor error. Was your ambient temperature sensor working?

Good shout! Where is the ambient temperature sensor located? I will check it when I have time.

I'm not sure where it is exactly located, but the workshop guys sorted it out for me quickly. It was a faulty connection that was causing the issue.

Thanks for the tip! Got it sorted at my local garage. It was indeed the solar sensor – the mechanic replaced a defective connector, and the heating's back to normal. Cost me 95€.
