Twingo electronic parking brake failure
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Twingo diesel is experiencing a failure with its electronic parking brake, indicated by a warning light on the dashboard and a registered fault in the error memory. The suspected cause is a malfunctioning electric motor in the brake calliper, likely due to wear and tear given the high mileage. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the calliper, which is the recommended solution after confirming the diagnosis at a workshop.

The light is solid, not flashing. I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Is it as expensive as I'm dreading? Like having to replace the whole calliper?

Sounds like my issue. Yes, I ended up having to replace the calliper. Best get it to a workshop for proper diagnostics, but prepare for the worst. The bill wasn't pretty, like paying for a new set of shoes... for a horse.

Thanks for confirming my fears. I took it to the shop; they said the same thing. New calliper it is. Quoted 505€. Thanks for the help!

I had something similar happen on my Twingo. Is the handbrake light flashing, or is it solid? Could be a system glitch. Did you check the fuses?
