Twingo emergency call malfunction

I've got a 2013 Renault Twingo with a diesel engine and I'm running into an annoying problem. The emergency call system seems to be malfunctioning. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, an error message popping up in the speedometer, and a warning light glaring at me from the speedometer too. The car has 69648 km on the clock. From what I've read, it could be a defective cable or plug connection somewhere in the system. Has anyone else encountered this?

That sounds familiar. I have a Twingo as well. I had a similar issue crop up not too long ago with my emergency call system. Was there anything specific that triggered the warning lights, like a hard bump or some recent work on the car?

Thanks for the quick reply! Nothing specific that I can recall. It just sort of appeared one day. How did you resolve it? Was it actually a dodgy connection?

Well, in my case, I suspected a loose connection, but honestly, I didn't want to mess with the airbags and telematics. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They ran a diagnostic, confirmed it was a connection issue, and sorted it out. Cost me about 95€.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I will take it to the workshop and have it checked. The 95€ sounds reasonable. Hopefully, that fixes it.
