Twingo Fuel Flap Release Failure

Having trouble with my 2015 Renault Twingo gasoline. The fuel flap release stopped working. Getting an error, can't lock or unlock the flap, and some other functions are temporarily unavailable. Anyone seen this? Simple electrical fault, or something with the release itself?

Electrical gremlins are never fun. Does the error code give you any clues? Have you checked the fuse for the fuel filler door release? Might be a long shot, but always good to rule out the simple stuff first.

Thanks! I haven't been able to get the error code with my equipment. Where's the fuse for the fuel filler door release? And if the fuse is intact, what's next?

Fuse location should be in your owner's manual, check under 'fuel filler' or 'central locking'. If the fuse is fine, and given the other issues, it could be a deeper electrical problem. Could also be a defective linkage, but that's rare. I'd suggest a workshop visit; specialized tools are probably necessary to diagnose it properly.

Appreciate the input! Seems like I was out of my depth. The linkage was indeed defective and causing other issues. The repair, including parts and labor, was around 210€.
