Twingo Fuel Mixture Issue

My 2006 Renault Twingo (gasoline engine) is showing signs of incorrect fuel composition. The check engine light is on, and it stalls, especially when idling. The error log shows a fuel mixture issue. I've checked fuel lines. Could a bad cable or plug be the cause? Anyone seen this?

Hey! I have a Twingo too and this sounds super familiar. My car was doing the exact same thing last year – check engine light, stalling, the whole shebang! Did you try checking the fuel quality? Like, maybe you accidentally filled up with something weird?

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm careful about using the right fuel, but I get your point. Did the problem start right after you refueled, or did it come on slowly? And did you have to replace anything?

It was gradual, honestly. I didn't notice it right after filling up, but after a few days it started acting up. I didn't try to fix it myself, because I'm not that good with cars. I took it straight to the workshop. They said it was something with a bad connection and messed up fuel mix. Best of luck!

Thanks for the advice. Based on your experience, I took it to a workshop. It was indeed a defective connection, as suspected. The repair, including diagnosis and parts, cost 95€. I'll keep an eye on the fuel economy and combustion chamber in case it happens again.
