Yes, the engine light comes on sometimes. It seems to happen when the hissing is loudest, and the jerking is most noticeable. Did you get a diagnosis and what was the repair?

Engine light, hissing, and jerking, that sums it up. You need diagnostic tools to confirm it, and it's not easily fixed at home. I'd suggest a workshop. In my case, it cost 465€ to replace the intake manifold control switch.

Thanks for the confirmation and the repair cost info. A workshop visit is probably needed. Hopefully, replacing the intake manifold flap control switch will fix it.

I had similar symptoms with my Twingo, though with fewer kilometers. Engine misfire, manifold flap issues, airflow control problems, and the engine light came on sometimes. Sounds like the same headache! Is the engine light on?
