Twingo rear window heating issue

Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with my 2015 Renault Twingo (gasoline engine). The rear window heating isn't working. I've checked the fuses, but they're fine. There's an error stored, and strangely the windshield heating isn't performing as it should either. Could a discharged or defective battery cause this?

Interesting. I have a Twingo too. Did you notice if your battery was draining faster than usual before this happened? If the voltage drops too low, the car might start shutting down non-essential systems to conserve power. It's a long shot, but worth checking out.

That's a good point. I haven't explicitly monitored the battery drain, but now that you mention it, the car struggled slightly more than usual to start a couple of times recently. Is it possible that a weak battery could throw error codes related to the heating elements?

Absolutely, it's possible! Similar thing happened to me, including error codes. I ignored it for too long and ended up needing a new battery AND paying to get the heating system reset. Best to get the battery checked professionally before more problems arise.

Thanks for the insight! I took your advice and brought it to a workshop. Turns out, the battery was indeed the culprit. A new battery and a system reset cost me 290€. Problem solved!
