Twingo temperature sensor issue

My 2011 Renault Twingo (diesel) with 56161 km has a temperature sensor heat exchanger issue. Error's stored, speedometer displays an error, and the AC won't switch on. Suspect a faulty AC control unit. Anyone else seen this?

I have a Twingo, too. Similar symptoms. Error messages and AC issues point to a potential HVAC system problem. Did you check the coolant levels or look for any signs of coolant leaks? That sometimes messes with the temperature readings and AC.

Coolant levels seem fine. No visible leaks. Do you remember the error code you had? Was it definitely the temperature sensor heat exchanger, or something else triggering it?

From what I remember, the error pointed to the temperature sensor, yes. It's likely the faulty sensor is causing the AC to malfunction as a safety measure. If you can't find anything obvious, it might be best to get it diagnosed at a workshop.

Thanks. Suspected as much. Looks like a trip to the workshop is unavoidable. They quoted around 980€, seems high but what can I do?
