Twingo Tire Pressure Sensor Fault

Hi, I have a 2014 Renault Twingo diesel. Lately, the tire pressure warning light has been on. The display says the tire pressure is too low, and there's an error message in the speedometer. I checked the tires, but they seem fine. Could it be a faulty sensor?

It is plausible that the tire pressure sensor is malfunctioning. Have you checked the error memory using an OBD-II scanner? A stored error code could provide more clarity.

Yes, there is an error stored. The code indicates a tire pressure sensor fault. Is it possible the sensor battery is simply empty after all these years?

Indeed, a depleted sensor battery is a common cause, especially given the vehicle's age. The sensor replacement is recommended. Considering the diagnostic information, proceeding to a qualified workshop for sensor replacement is advisable. Expect a cost around 280€.

Thanks for the confirmation. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on – sensor battery was dead. New sensor fitted, error cleared. Appreciate the help!
