Twingo won't start rough shifting

Hey, my 2007 Renault Twingo diesel has a weird issue. It won't start, the check engine light is on, and the gears are shifting rough. Error memory mentions something about the parking position. Mileage is at 119257 km. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had similar problems with my Twingo. Does it feel like it's stuck in park? Could be a transmission sensor issue or something with the shift lock.

Stuck in park, yeah, kind of feels like it. What exactly was wrong with yours?

Mine ended up being a defective control unit. Not cheap. I'd get it checked by a workshop; could save you some guessing.

Thanks for the heads up. Workshop quoted 1000€, control unit it is.
