Ulysee Overheating Electric Fan Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Fiat Ulysee diesel is experiencing overheating issues due to a non-functional electric fan. The initial suspicion is a problem with the cable or plug. Another owner suggests checking the fan relay and thermal switch, as a similar issue was resolved by fixing a faulty fan relay that wasn't providing consistent power. The recommendation is to have a technician inspect these components.

Thanks. I checked the wiring, but not the relay or switch. What happened with those parts on yours?

My Ulysee overheated too. It was a faulty fan relay. The fan worked when powered directly, but the relay wasn't providing consistent power. I had a technician fix it. Might be best.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll take it to a workshop to check the relay and switch. Repair should be about 95€.

I drive a Fiat Ulysee and had similar overheating. I agree, the fan motor is often the problem. Did you check the fan relay and thermal switch, besides the wiring?
