Ulysee temperature display issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Fiat Ulysee diesel is experiencing issues with the temperature display showing incorrect readings, the check engine light being on, and the vehicle taking a long time to warm up. These symptoms suggest a potential problem with the cooling system, possibly due to a restricted cooling grille. A suggested solution was to check the fuses, specifically for the grille shutters, which led to the discovery of a blown fuse. Replacing the fuse resolved the issue, indicating it was a minor problem rather than a more serious mechanical fault.

Fuses, huh? I hadn't thought of that. Where would I typically find that fuse? Is it usually marked clearly, or am I in for a wild goose chase through the fuse box?

On the Saab, it was in the main fuse box under the hood. Check your owner's manual for the exact location; it should be labelled. If the fuse is blown, it's a cheap fix, but if it blows again, you've got a bigger problem. Honestly, with those symptoms, a workshop visit might be wise to rule out anything serious.

Turns out it was just a blown fuse (cooling grille), cost me 52€ to replace. Hopefully, that's the end of it!

Sounds familiar. Had similar gremlins with my old Saab. Incorrect temps and slow warm-up can point to cooling system weirdness. Have you checked the fuses? There might be one specifically for the grille shutters if yours has them.
