Ulysee tire pressure warning

My 2000 Fiat Ulysee, diesel engine, is showing a tire pressure warning. Mileage is at 202231 km. The display says tire pressure is too low, and I've found an error stored. Could a faulty sensor cause this, even if the tires are properly inflated? Sensor battery empty, maybe?

Summary of the thread

A 2000 Fiat Ulysee is displaying a tire pressure warning despite the tires being properly inflated. The issue may be due to a faulty tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor, possibly because of an empty sensor battery or the sensor's age. The recommended solution is to have the sensors checked and potentially replaced at a workshop, which resolved the issue in this case.

Sounds like a TPMS issue. Are all your tires inflated to the correct pressure? How old are the sensors?

Tires are inflated correctly. I'm not sure about the sensor age. Is there any way to check the sensors without special tools? Or is it pointing to the flat tire anyway?

If the tires are properly inflated, and you're getting a persistent error, a failing TPMS sensor is the most probable cause. Considering the car's age, it's likely the original sensor. I would suggest a visit to the workshop; they'll confirm if it's the sensor.

Thanks for the confirmation. I got the sensors checked and replaced. Cost me 280€ at a local garage. Thanks for the help!
