Interesting thought about the rain sensor. Where exactly is that located, and how would I test if it's faulty? And you mentioned wiggling the connector on the wiper motor - is that easy to access, or do I need to start dismantling half the car?

The rain sensor is usually up near the rearview mirror, stuck to the windshield. Honestly, I didn't mess with it myself. The wiper motor connector isn't too bad, but it's a bit awkward to get to. In the end I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly, so maybe that's the best bet for you too, before you break something.

Thanks for the tip! I fiddled around with the motor connector like you said, but no luck. Gonna take it to the shop then and get it looked at. The estimate is around 95€, which I think is acceptable. Hopefully, they'll sort it out without too much hassle.

ULYSEE

Whoa, that sounds familiar. I’ve got a Ulysee too. Had something similar happen a while back. Have you checked the rain sensor? That can sometimes mess things up and cause the wipers to go haywire or not work at all. Have you tried wiggling the connector on the wiper motor? Might be a loose connection there.
