The smoke smells slightly acrid. I'm not familiar with the PCV valve's location or how to inspect it. What should I look for when examining the valve and hoses?

Since it smells acrid, it's likely the PCV valve. Given you don't know its location, don't attempt a repair yourself. Take it to a trusted mechanic to diagnose and replace the valve. A damaged crankcase ventilation can increase pressure and force oil past seals, so fix it immediately.

I'll schedule a mechanic to inspect and replace the PCV valve. The repair cost 360€. Thanks for the insights!

I also own a Toyota UrbanCruiser and had similar symptoms. Does the smoke smell acrid? My PCV valve was the culprit. Inspect the valve and hoses for damage or blockages. Any unusual engine noises?
