UrbanCruiser damping adjustment fault

My 2012 Toyota UrbanCruiser with a gasoline engine is throwing weird errors. The error memory has a damping adjustment fault, and a warning light is on. The ride's super bumpy. I suspect a dodgy cable or plug connection. Anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar issue on my UrbanCruiser. Bumpy ride and the light on the dash were the first signs. Have you checked the connections to the suspension components themselves? Sometimes they can get corroded or just wiggle loose.

When you say 'suspension components,' are you referring to the shock absorbers and stuff like that? Or is there something else I should be looking at specifically?

Yes, I mean the shock absorbers and the surrounding connections. Honestly, given the error code and your symptoms, I'd strongly recommend getting it checked out by a qualified mechanic. It could be a simple fix, but messing with the suspension isn't worth the risk.

You were right. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a corroded connector, just as you suspected. A quick clean and replacement, and all good. Cost me 95€ – not too bad! Thanks a lot for the advice; it pointed me in the right direction.
