Urvan fuel level sensor fault

Okay, need some help. My 2011 Nissan Urvan, diesel engine, is throwing a fit. 143785 km on the clock. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the engine randomly stalls at idle. Plugged it in, and it's showing a fuel level sensor fault. I've checked the wiring harness as best I can, but can't see anything obvious. Could this be a simple fuse issue before I tear everything apart?

I had something similar with my Urvan. Not sure of the year, but it's also a diesel. Check the fuel sensor wiring, that was my problem when the check engine light came on. Is the fuel gauge on the dashboard acting weird?

The fuel gauge does seem to be all over the place, now that you mention it. Is there a particular connector or section of the wiring I should be focusing on? Any chance you remember what fixed it for you?

Yep, sounds like my issue exactly. For me, it was the sensor itself. I would say, if the wiring looks fine, go to a workshop and ask them to check the sensor. They can probably replace it with an OEM one for around 50€, if that is the problem.

Thanks for the info! I took it to a local workshop, and it turned out to be the fuel level sensor, just like you said. Replaced it, and the problem is gone. Final bill was 52€ including the sensor. Much appreciated!
