V Klasse engine issue

My Mercedes V Klasse built in 2021 with a gasoline engine is acting up. The check engine light is on, power is down, and I'm seeing smoke when I accelerate. I suspect it's the crankcase ventilation valve. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar problem with my V Klasse. The crankcase ventilation can indeed cause those symptoms. When was the last time you did any maintenance on the ventilation system? I would suggest checking all the hoses connected to the valve for cracks or blockages.

Maintenance on the ventilation system? To be honest, I haven't specifically touched it. What kind of maintenance are we talking about, and where exactly should I be looking for these hoses?

I've made the same mistake. By maintenance, I meant visual inspection and cleaning. The hoses are usually located around the engine block, connecting to the intake manifold. But with those symptoms, particularly the smoke, I would not delay a proper inspection at a trusted workshop.

Appreciate the input. Took it to the shop, and you were right. Crankcase ventilation valve malfunction. Repair set me back 360€ but it's running smoothly again.
