V Klasse fog sensor issue

My 2015 Mercedes V Klasse with a gasoline engine is showing a fog sensor error, with the AC not engaging, freezing spray nozzles, and non-functional mirror heating. Diagnostics point to a cable or plug issue. Any similar experiences or sensor recalibration insights? Trying to avoid the 95€ repair estimate, anything I can check first?

I had a similar problem with my V Klasse, AC acting up and mirror heating dead. Check the sensor itself, it could be dirty or blocked. Where is the car sensor located?

Thanks for your reply. Could you give me more details on where the sensor is located and how to check it? Did you also have freezing spray nozzles? Did you fix it yourself?

I didn't have the freezing nozzle issue. The sensor is behind the front bumper, from what I remember. I just had the workshop take care of it. I think it is best to go to a professional.

Thanks. Your experience confirms my suspicion that it's linked to the fog sensor. I'll inspect the connections as best I can, but plan to take it to the workshop as you suggested. The error code and malfunctioning systems pointed to a deeper fault than I can handle without proper tools. The estimate of 95€ seems fair enough. I really appreciate your help.
