V40 Coolant Loss

Hi, I have a 2017 Volvo V40, gasoline engine, with 223229 km. Recently, the check engine light came on and the error memory shows a fault. I checked and the coolant level is very low. Could this be the reason?

I also have a V40 and had a similar issue last year. The coolant was disappearing slowly. Have you checked for any visible leaks around the engine or under the car after it's been parked?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't seen any obvious puddles, but I also didn't look very closely. Where exactly should I be looking for leaks?

Check the radiator hoses and around the water pump. I couldn't find anything myself, just kept topping it up. Eventually the light came back on and I brought it to a workshop to get it checked out. Turned out it was a small leak in the radiator.

Thanks, I appreciate the insight! I'll take a closer look, but it sounds like a workshop visit is in order. The garage confirmed a leak and the repair was 52€.
