V50 ABS and Steering Problems

My 2009 Volvo V50, gasoline engine, shows a low tire pressure warning. Mileage is 84960 km. The ABS lamp lights up, the steering wheel vibrates, and steering requires increased effort. Could this be related to a defective tire valve?

Sounds familiar. I had similar ABS and steering issues with my old Opel Astra when a tire sensor went bad. Did you check the tire pressure manually with a gauge?

I haven't used a tire gauge yet. Could a faulty tire sensor really cause all those symptoms?

It did for me. The system gets confused, impacting ABS and power steering. It's best to get it checked at a workshop to confirm.

Thanks. Valve in tire was indeed defective. Repair cost 280€.
