V50 Brake Pedal Feedback

I'm having strange brake pedal feedback on my 2009 Volvo V50 diesel with 86725 km. Brake pads look fine, as do the calipers and rotors. Could undervoltage be interfering with the braking system? Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane, though it felt spongy and inconsistent. After checking everything, a slightly weak battery was causing havoc with the ABS module. Have you checked your battery's health recently?

Were there any other electrical symptoms besides the brake issue? Did a simple battery replacement resolve the problem, or was there any ABS module recalibration?

On the Megane, the only other symptom was that the stop/start system became unreliable. Replacing the battery completely solved the problem. The garage mentioned clearing fault codes from the ABS, but no recalibration. If your battery is old, it's worth swapping it out to rule it out, but it is probably best to let a workshop have a look.

Thanks for the advice! I took the car to a local workshop, and it turned out to be related to undervoltage. The total repair came to 240€.
