Thanks! How would I check for vacuum leaks? Can I do it myself, or should I go to a professional?

Checking for vacuum leaks can be tricky without the right tools. Considering the symptoms, I would suggest a qualified mechanic diagnose it. A faulty MAP sensor combined with a large leakage probably requires specific equipment to pinpoint. Professional intervention is best.

Thanks! The workshop confirmed it was the manifold pressure sensor and found a vacuum leak. The total repair cost 235€. Appreciate the help!

I had similar symptoms in my V50. It sounds like a faulty manifold pressure sensor. Have you checked for any vacuum leaks? A large leakage can definitely cause these problems.
