V50 Damping Adjustment Fault

My 2007 Volvo V50 diesel is giving me grief. The mileage is only at 30431 km! I'm getting a 'damping adjustment fault' error stored, and a warning light's popped up on the speedometer. The ride's gone all bumpy. I've had a quick look at the connections, but I didn't want to mess anything up. Anyone seen this before?

I had something similar on my V50. Check the cable and plug connection to the suspension system components. It's a common weak spot. Did you check all of them or just the easily accessible ones?

When you say 'similar,' do you mean the exact same error and symptoms? And which connections specifically are you referring to? I'm not a mechanic, so ELI5, please!

Yep, same error code and bumpy ride. Definitely sounds like a dodgy connection. I would advise going to the workshop. They will be able to check the connections properly. That fixed it for me, anyway. Just a corroded plug in the end.

I took it to the shop, and you were spot on! Turns out it was a corroded plug, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Worth every penny to get rid of that awful ride!
