Thanks! No, I haven't noticed any starting problems yet. I don’t know which glow plug is defective; the error code was too generic. If you had the same problem, what did you do to fix it? I am not sure I can do it myself.

No starting issues yet is a good sign, but don't ignore it! When my V60 had that issue, I tried to find out which plug was broken, but I gave up pretty quickly. Unless you're super confident working on engines, I'd just take it to a workshop. They'll diagnose the exact problem and replace the faulty glow plugs. It's probably the best bet to avoid causing more damage.

Thanks! I think you're right; I'll book it in with a reputable workshop. They quoted me around 440€ for the repair, so I hope that's fair. Knowing someone else experienced the same thing makes me feel a bit better. At least I have an idea what to expect!

I also drive a V60. Your issue sounds familiar. The constant preheating lamp and error code definitely point towards a glow plug problem. Have you noticed any difficulty starting the engine, especially when it's cold? A faulty glow plug can cause poor fuel economy, a rough-running engine and the check engine light coming on. Do you know which glow plug is throwing the error?
